Mobile & Web Usability at the FH Kufstein

Admittedly, teaching jobs like this are time-consuming, but on the other hand it's just great fun to pass on your knowledge to students from all over the world.

My teaching assignment at the FH Kufstein

Since I founded one of the first digital design and web agencies in Europe in 1994, it was natural for me to pass on my knowledge to students at the FH Kufstein. Not entirely altruistically, of course, because universities are always a good source of future employees. Since my lecture is also attended by exchange students, the course is held in the most common language in the world: bad English. On the other hand, it was very exciting to speak in front of students from Canada, China, Singapore, Thailand or France.

Mobile & Web Usability

In my subject "Mobile & Web Usability", we not only deal with the classic design heuristics and usability test procedures, but also the background of user experience design and the associated processes. The final part of the course is an introduction to the psychology of perception, because designers usually overestimate how little information people can take in at the same time. My enrichment in such courses is the exchange and discussion with students, especially if they already have professional experience and are able to challenge my theses. Then there are also really exciting discussions from which I can also learn something.
